Raising Boys Who Can Be Gentle, and Girls Who Can Be Strong
Led by Patty Wipfler
Have you wondered how to help your child navigate the stereotypical roles that still shape the experience of boys and girls? For this talk, we won't debate the roles that genetics play in boys' and girls' behavior, and we won't pronounce any "best" way to raise boys or girls.
We will talk about some proven strategies for helping both boys and girls grow up well-rounded--empathetic, affectionate, playful, resilient, and confident. You will learn practical "Listening Tools" that will help you model playfulness and respect. You'll come away with practical steps you can take daily to guide your children toward being boys who can care about the feelings of others and girls who are comfortable with adventure and physical challenge.
