Developing Emotional Literacy
Led by Magdalena Cabrera, Luisa Linares and Patty Wipfler
These six Saturdays are designed for the caregivers who make many parent education classes in Santa Clara County possible. We will introduce them to the Parenting by Connection approach to parents and children, and to the Listening Tools that are so vital when children are being cared for in an unfamiliar environment. We'll look at what helps children through their fear of separation, what helps them feel safe with adults they don't know yet, and how to help parents with their worries about leaving their children. We will also introduce the use of Listening Tools to build support for the work of caring for children.
This class is designed for Choices for Children. Classes like it can be arranged for other groups by calling PLI at (650) 322-5323.
