Parents love their children. Parents work hard. And every parent deserves good support. When you contribute to Hand in Hand you're helping to build a community of families and organizations using connection as their touchstone.
A donation to Hand in Hand helps parents resolve big difficulties in their families. We teach parents how to help children who can't sleep, children who fight with others, children who defy their parents, children who are too afraid to participate in school, children who wet their beds, children who struggle with reading, children whose behavior tips their parents toward abusive treatment, and more. These kinds of difficulties exhaust parents, and discourage children. Our tools are uniquely effective, and learning them creates lasting change in a family.
Donors make our work available to families in need. Our Hand in Hand Scholarship program serves low-income families, homeless parents, child abuse prevention programs, parents in immigrant communities, and others who would not otherwise receive support for building stronger, safer families.
Hand in Hand is a 501(c)3 organization, founded in 1989. Donations are tax deductible.

Hand in Hand is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. 53% of our budget comes from fee-for-services activities: classes, workshops, and the sale of our literature and media content. The rest of our operating budget comes from grants and from our generous donors. Volunteers stretch donor contributions with over 1400 hours of expertise per year.
The Bella Vista Foundation, First 5 of San Mateo County, The Peninsula Community Foundation, and the Community Foundation of Silicon Valley are among the foundations that have invested in Hand in Hand's curriculum development and growth.
