Talk: Off-track Children and Stressed Parents—Remedies for Caregivers 7:00-8:30pm, Santa Clara
Led by Parenting by Connection Instructor Candidates Grace Fleming and Deborah Kjar
When children become emotionally charged, they can't think. They simply can't function normally. They want unreasonable things, and are unsatisfied with your attempts to give them what they want. They can't listen, and the slightest thing brings them to tears or tantrums. Parents feel overwhelmed and stressed. You can learn simple tools that will allow you to intervene when they are off-track and help them move beyond the stress that prevents them from being pleased. Learn how to build relationships that foster the cooperation, respect and the caring atmosphere we all hope to share.
