Building Emotional Understanding Course (Oakland, CA)
Led by Emily Cernusak
Building Emotional Understanding will improve your ability to understand your child, read his behavior, predict difficult moments, and respond with essential tools that build connection in families. Researchers have called these skills the "super-protective factor" that leads to positive adolescent outcomes and happy productive lives for children.
This class will welcome parents, stepparents, grandparents and professionals who work with families. Each class participant will be encouraged to use "Listening Tools" on a regular basis between classes, and experiences will be shared, creating a broad experience base for learning and mutual support.
