Talk: Helping Your Child With Learning and School - led by Usha Sangam (Santa Clara, CA)
In almost every family, emotional boulders will fall onto children's paths as they try to navigate learning and school. Parents try incentives, strict expectations, lectures, pleading, logical consequences, and more, but the difficulties remain. We'll offer a new set of ideas to try, and give parents two specific tools for helping to relieve the tension that builds when a child faces a difficult assignment or social situation. We'll answer questions, and show how parents can help their children build confidence, solve problems, and gain competence.
For parents of children from age 0 to 12.
No childcare is provided.
