This class is for any parent who identifies as a father.
This will be a great follow up after the Dad’s group we had this Summer or Saturday’s workshops, but it’s not necessary that you attended either.
It’s a great thing when dads get together. Most of the dads I know say they don’t have enough time with other fathers to reflect and get support on the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of parenting. This workshop is time for you to be able to notice and be proud of your successes as a parent, and get some answers for tricky spots in your day to day dad life.
We’ll cover new material:
- Diving into Parenting Triggers: where “dadding” gets most hard and tips for getting unstuck.
- I hear so many dads say, “It seems like my partner/ co-parent is parenting in community. I’m just not feelin’ that for me.”
- Building true support for you, so you can feel less like a lone wolf and more like people have your back.
- What you can do when you and your partner/ co-parent aren’t on the same page.
- Bringing more levity and laughter into this job of dadding. Yes, it can be fun and rewarding!
- Speaking of rewarding… what and where are the payoffs? Sometimes it’s hard to see the forest for the trees. Let’s talk about that.
- Q & A for all those questions you haven’t known where to ask. This is the place.

Hand in Hand provides programs for all people who are caring for children in any capacity. We occasionally offer specialized programs for people in particular caregiving roles and/or identity groups to provide support specific to their experiences. This event is for anyone in a fathering role.
