Hand in Hand Parenting Starter Class with Kirsten Nottleson and Blake Adams

Parent Club/Scholarship Price

Parenting isn’t easy. Add a pandemic to the equation, online school, more time together as a family, all the pros and cons that go with that, financial stress, and health stress. All of this can increase anxiety and fear, which can easily lead to off-track behavior in both children and parents.

Are you looking for a closer, more connected, and cooperative relationship with your child? Do you want answers about why your child’s behavior goes off-track and what you can do to help? Would you like to have more fun with your family?

If so, join certified instructors Blake Adams and Kirsten Nottleson, for a six-week Hand in Hand Parenting Starter Class that will give your family a solid foundation to build on. You will learn five simple tools that you can start using in your family now to transform how you relate to your child. These tools lead to deeper connections between parents and children, help transform tricky behaviors, heal past hurts and trauma, develop resilience and confidence (for both parents and children), and strengthen relationships for life.

Each week, our class of 4-6 other parents will meet over Zoom to take an in-depth look at one of the Hand in Hand tools, answer your questions to help with whatever is going on in your home right now, and take time to listen to each other with respect and care. The call will last 60-90 minutes depending on the number of participants.

Outside of class, you will have six-months of access to an online classroom with excellent reading materials and videos from Hand in Hand founder Patty Wipfler.

By the end of the course, you will have:

  • A better understanding of what drives your child’s behavior and how to help them move through hard times
  • Concrete ideas about how to have fun and play with your child
  • A game plan for setting limits in a way that re-establishes connection with your child and builds cooperation long-term
  • Insights into how your childhood experiences affect how you parent
  • The opportunity to build community with like-minded parents who are interesting in figuring out how to connect with, rather than control, their children
  • The skills to set up Listening Partnerships with other parents so that you have ongoing support as you build the best possible relationship with your child

Here’s what one parent had to say about Kirsten’s Starter Class:

My husband and I recently took Kirsten’s Parenting by Connection Starter Class. We had never taken a parenting class before, but were entering into a transitional time for all of us as my son started kindergarten. Kirsten’s compassionate, playful and insightful understanding of children (and their parents!) was nothing short of relieving for us. We could suddenly comprehend, appreciate and have tools to deal with our son’s day-to-day excitements and frustrations. She helped us to get out of our own way and be the kind of parents we knew we could be. Now we have the free attention to really enjoy this age and the precious time we have with our little one, while he’s still little!   ~Jennifer in Austin, Texas

Here’s what parents have said about Blake’s Starter Class:

“Blake's teaching style, being open about his parenting challenges, helped me see that I can do this. I can have a great relationship with my daughter. Blake set the tone that helped everyone feel safe to share openly. Everyone sharing frankly created that magic you feel when you attend a class you wish never ends. With tears of thankfulness in my eyes, I say, thank you, Blake, for helping me to become a better parent.”

“Blake Adams was awesome! His passion for this work shows when he is listening and talking. He has great balance when deciding when to talk and when to listen. His ability to give everyone a chance to express themselves was comforting to me. I never felt like I was out of place during each class because Blake created a safe environment for all his students. Lastly, it was impressive to see how Blake can pivot from topic to topic and still keep the information relevant to the class.”
