Homework Hassles and How to Help: FREE Webinar with Madeleine Winter
Tuesday, March 11th , 4:00-5:30 PM US Pacific, which is 10-11:30 AM Weds Sydney (AEDT)
FREEIs homework a hassle in your household?
You are not alone! Children love to learn, and learn naturally. They learn through play, the behaviour of the people around them, and from their own experiments. But formal learning is sometimes not so interesting to young people, and practicing skills, or doing more school work after a long day at school can feel hard.
Getting homework done is often a topic of great tension in families. Homework is one of those perpetual challenges for parents (and children!). Whatever you think about whether there is any point, it’s something that we have to manage once our children hit school.
Parent’s special role
Join Madeleine Winter to hear about your very special role in supporting your children at school, with homework, or with learning anything. You’ll be introduced to Listening Tools which you can use at home to help your child recover their relaxed enjoyment of learning. We’ll cover
- What to do when your children procrastinate
- Handling children’s big feelings about homework
- Setting limits about homework, while staying close and connected to your child.
- Building children’s confidence as learners

The Presenter: Madeleine is the parent of a young adult who has been using and teaching Hand in Hand for over 30 years. This is what parents have said about her:
“I’ve done a lot of parenting courses, and read a lot of books. In one session, Madeleine communicated a picture of why my children behave as they do which made more sense of what is going on than anything else I’ve come across. She offered practical strategies and approaches that I will go home and try. I’m looking forward to learning more.” Mother of 5 y.o twins & 9 year old, Wiseman’s Ferry, NSW, Australia
“I liked being reminded that we are all good parents. The talk was structured around our questions and I wish we had longer – I could always take more listening to you, Madeleine. I really enjoyed today’s session.” Foster/adoptive parent, Sydney, Australia
