Born and raised in Germany, Andrea taught in London and Eastern European countries for 10 years before coming back to Germany in 1999. She and her husband have been enjoying the benefits of the Parenting by Connection approach with their son since 2015. Andrea is a Certified Hand in Hand Parenting by Connection Instructor and a Certified Psychotherapist. She feels very passionate about these effective tools they have helped her to show her love and affection to her family and to bring her family closer together.
Andrea enjoys offering parent-to-parent consultations, family therapy, classes, support groups, and workshops, as well as translating Parenting by Connection publications into German. She is familiar with trauma-sensitive-care and is involved in a program to support children that are part of the 1 million refugees that are currently living in Germany.
Since suffering from a trauma herself when her son was only 6 months old she feels passionate about bringing hand in hand tools into trauma-sensitive-care. She is currently involved in developing a program to bring hand in hand tools into a clinical environment in Germany and to develop a program to support parents whose children are hospitalized in a clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry.
