Helen Stathopoulos, M.A., OCT, RECE, is a certified elementary school teacher, a registered early childhood educator, as well as a college instructor and university professor to preservice teachers. She is the mother to four young children who give her life great purpose.
Helen is passionate about infusing more play, joy, laughter and connection to family life. She recognizes that difficult moments in one’s parenting can actually be a meaningful time to listen. Every day, she is inspired to parent more purposefully.
Helen is looking forward to sharing the Hand in Hand approach in Canada, building mini-communities of support with those who are keen to nurture connection and growth. Through practical application of the Hand in Hand tools, parents and professionals who work with children can be supported as they navigate challenging situations, heal old hurts, and welcome genuine change in their lives.
For a number of years, parents have appreciated Helen’s warmth, compassion, and humour and have sought her advice and consultations for their parenting questions.
As a certified Hand in Hand Parenting Instructor, Helen is available to give talks, teach classes, lead support groups, and offer personalized consultations (in-person or by phone). Helen can be reached by e-mail here: helen_s(@)hotmail(dot)com.
