I live in rural Northern California with my husband and son. I found Hand in Hand Parenting when I was a new, struggling mom. I felt helpless, powerless, and confused as I tried to figure out what my son needed and how to respond. There was so much talk about pregnancy and childbirth, but wait, after that comes parenting!
The Hand in Hand listening tools helped me tremendously. I was able to stop worrying and start enjoying being a parent. I was able to remember that my child was good, even when he was angry or upset. It wasn’t always easy, but at least I felt supported, and equipped. It felt like instead of running toward a fire in my street clothes, I now had protective equipment, an oxygen mask, and the knowledge of how to put out a fire.
I’m passionate about sharing this knowledge with other parents that might be struggling. With the right tools, and ample support, parents can raise children that thrive and grow up to become wonderful adults. We truly can change the world one family at a time!
I lead support groups, teach classes, and offer one-on-one consultation, locally, and online. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more: [email protected]
