- Have you read the information on the Certification Information page?
- Have you completed the pre-requisite Hand in Hand Parenting Starter Class, Foundations Class for Early Childhood Educators, or the Professionals Intensive? Having completed the pre-requisite is a requirement for applying to the Instructor Certification program. Please check our calendar at https://www.handinhandparenting.org/event_category/all/ for opportunities to take the Starter Class, Foundations Class, or the Professionals Intensive. If you are currently enrolled in one of these classes, please submit your application before the deadline, let us know your class is in progress, and the date of the last class meeting (should be complete before May 31st, 2023).
- Do you have frequent, ongoing contact with children with whom you can gain personal experience using Hand in Hand Parenting Tools? If you're not parenting children under 10 at this time, do you have a solid plan to practice the Hand in Hand approach regularly? We require that you have on-going relationships that are close enough for you to practice all of the Hand in Hand Parenting tools with children, and that you have permission from their parents to do so.
