Velma Gentzsch

Hand in Hand Certified Instructor

Velma had played Super Mario Brothers twice–as a 5th grader at the neighbor’s house–before she entered the world of video games with her 8-year-old son.

Much to her surprise, she discovered gaming could bring her son closer instead of creating conflict and driving them apart. She even learned to love video games. She got to relax, play, make mistakes, learn, and have fun. Now, Velma is on a mission to help you find out how you can bring more fun and cooperation to your family through video games.

She has experience with early NICU trauma, supermom syndrome, postpartum depression, separation anxiety, child aggression, neurodivergency, gaming and screens.

She is a certified Hand in Hand Parenting Instructor, and is a former Executive Director of Hand in Hand Parenting.

She can be reached at www.mamamavel.com or mama(at)mamamavel(dot)com.
