  1. I love this video and I am looking forward to flipping the roles and playing this game to reassure my daughter I am always coming back for her. But my question is when is the best time to play this? Would I do this randomly during the week where time allows or is this something I could play before preschool drop off or even at preschool drop off? Thanks.

  2. My son recently had his first day at preschool (he has never been in care before) and I was expecting the worst but it actually went quite smoothly. We had obviously talked a lot about preschool before going and done multiple visits but I found it was actually special time and play listening that has really made an amazing impact. He tends to do a lot of role playing in his special time and often works through a lot of his feelings through this play. The most amazing thing was (before even watching this video) that after his first day of preschool the first thing he wanted to do was role play the drop off but this time with the roles reversed. Mummy was going to preschool and was upset and he took on the parent role saying “sorry, I have to go now, I’ll be back after lunch time”. He wanted to do this over and over again each time just a little bit different. I thought he would be quite upset about going to preschool the next time but he was actually really excited to go. I then watched this video and realized exactly what he was doing. I will definitely try to use more of this in the future.
