Event Category: Online Parenting Classes

Toddlers are passionate people...as the caregivers of these passionate people we need support, encouragement, and ideas to be at our best.  There is no one right way to do this so we make space each week to talk through current events in family life, compare notes, think up new plans, and leave feeling renewed, more capable and more confident.
In the midst of a confusing and challenging time globally, being the parent of a pre-teen child or older can be equally confusing and challenging.  Our children no longer need us as in exactly the same ways they did when they were younger, school pressures increase - online or in person - and opportunities for play are reduced with the pervasiveness of screens and peer-pressures. This Hand in Hand Parenting class will offer ideas, perspectives and practical tools that will help you build new and lasting connection channels with your pre-teen to improve your relationship and make things go better at home.
Would you like more cooperation and laughter in your family? Do you need some fresh strategies to bring harmony to your home? Would you like to learn how to make friends with tears and tantrums? Are you having problems with sleep, food battles, sibling rivalry, aggression or clinginess? Join me for this six week Hand in Hand Parenting Starter Class.
We teach 5 listening tools that can be instigated immediately and used in all parenting situations. Leading to deeper connections between parents and children, helping solve tricky behaviour, healing past hurts and trauma, developing resilience and confidence (for you and your children) and strengthening relationships for life.
Hey dads, have you noticed your enthusiasm for play diminishing this past year with the stress of the pandemic? Do you secretly hate the games your child likes to play? Does your child’s continued risky or aggressive play leave you feeling worried or angry? Are you and your parenting partner in conflict about whether or not it’s a good idea to set limits playfully? Would you like some fresh ideas about how to use play to help your child with a persistent behavioral challenge? Whatever your relationship is to play these days, we are here to give you some extra support.
If you are thinking of becoming a nanny/caregiver, are currently a nanny/caregiver, or you are working with a family that would love for you to learn the Hand in Hand tools, this class is for you! We will explore how to incorporate these tools with the children you work with even if the parents are not familiar with the Hand in Hand Parenting approach.
